Families will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of camp activities as a family unit and will receive a schedule for upon arrival. ‘Z’ Frank Apachi’s outdoor, heated pools will have lifeguards present and each family will have an assigned time for the locker room and use of the pool.

Important Details

Here’s how Apachi Family Days will work.

• We will be following social distancing measures and other safety precautions established in keeping with guidelines from Center for Disease Control, Illinois Department of Public Health, American Camping Association and JCC Association.

• Families are asked to socially distance between each other while on camp grounds and bring face coverings for use if indoors or at their discretion outdoors.

• Additional sanitization stations around camp and increased cleaning procedures and cleaning supplies will be in place for common areas.

• Each family will have an assigned area as their “home base” to place their belongings, picnic lunch or cooler.

 

FAQ’s

Q. What activity areas will be open for use?
A. Families will be able to use the pools, sports fields and athletic courts, and arts & crafts area. The adventure tree, climbing wall and boating area at ‘Z’ Frank Apachi will be unavailable.

Q. How do we request use of the activity areas?
A. You will be provided with a schedule for your family or group upon arrival, which will include assigned time at the pool and locker room, at the athletic courts, athletic field, arts & crafts and STEM activities.

Q. Can we bring our own food and how will it be stored?
A. Yes, you can bring food for your family. Please plan to bring a cooler along with plates and utensils, which will remain outdoors at your “home base” during your time on camp grounds. A garbage bag will be provided upon entry so you can help keep camp grounds clean.

Q. Is the popsicle snack Kosher?
A. Yes.

Q. Is alcohol allowed on camp grounds during our session?
A. No.

Q. What are the procedures you are putting in place for families’ health and safety?

  • A health screening for each family member prior to entering the camp grounds.
  • Families are asked to socially distance between each other while on camp grounds and bring face coverings for use if indoors or at their discretion outdoors.
  • Additional sanitization stations around camp and increased cleaning procedures and cleaning supplies will be in place for common areas.
  • We are asking for families’ cooperation and honesty to help manage the health and safety of our community.

Q. Will a temperature check be performed upon arrival at camp?
A. Yes.

Q. When are face coverings required?
A. Face coverings are required for all family members 2+ years when indoors or when a 6-foot minimum distance between others cannot be observed, unless consuming food or drink.

Q. How many people are allowed per family or group?
A. Up to 10 people per family or group may attend Apachi Family Days.

Q. How many individuals will be on camp grounds during a time slot?
A. Up to 50 people will be allowed on camp grounds per time slot.

Q. Will there be medical staff on camp grounds?
A. Medical staff will not be available during Apachi Family Days. There are hospitals in proximity to ‘Z’ Frank Apachi.

Q. Can my children do activities by themselves?
A. No. We are kindly asking that anyone under 15 years of age is supervised by an adult at all times. Those 15 years and older are asked to follow the social distancing guidelines to keep everyone safe. This is a family experience and family units will be operating together in activity areas.

Q. When is payment due for Apachi Family Camp?
A. We ask that you pay in full at time of registration confirmation.

Q. Is the program fee refundable?
A. The program fee is non-refundable unless you have to cancel for medical reasons, or the program gets cancelled. If your cancellation is due to medical reasons, you may be asked to provide a physician’s note.

Q. Is Wi-Fi available on camp grounds?
A. Wi-Fi will not be available on camp grounds.

Q. Is smoking allowed on camp grounds?
A. We ask any smokers to please exit our grounds and smoke off our property.

Q. Will childcare be available?
A. Apachi Family Day is time for you to enjoy our beautiful camp grounds with your family. There will not be any staff-led activities.

Registration
